9th Grade Online Odyssey and Advisory Introduction

While in the Classroom:

(Complete the following before going to the computer if you can)

(After returning from Computer time) Follow up to Pride/Perseverance/Respect/ & Responsibility Webquest:

  1. After completing the graphic organizer ask students to share current events exemplify one or more of characteristics of Pride, Perseverance, Respect, and Responsibility. (10 min)
  2. Give students 10 minutes to reflect on how they have exemplified one or more of characteristics of Pride, Perseverance, Respect, and Responsibility since the beginning of the school year. (10 min)
  3. Ask students to share with the class how they exemplify one or more of characteristics of Pride, Perseverance, Respect, and Responsibility and reward impressive examples with a PBIS buck. (15 min)
  4. Dialogue with students on how they could improve or what you like about their explanations, grade them as you go on the sheet above. (10 min)
  5. Ask students to NOMINATE classmates for Yellow Jacket of the Month.
  6. Ask students to vote on all the nominations and for the two that win the most votes teachers will complete and submit their nominations to the PBIS committee (Ms. Critten’s Mail Box.)

While on the Computer:


  1. Initialize your student PGCPS e-mail account following the directons at this link. (5 min)
  2. Email each of your teachers the following message:

3. Login to your Schoolmax Family Portal; if you are unable to login please fill out this form. (5min)
4. Complete steps 1-9 of the Career Cruiser assignment by following these directions.(20 min)

5. Complete the Pride/Perseverence/Respect/ & Responsiblity Webquest (20 min)
